HOW TO ORDER

Achoo! Monogramming offers personalization on most items. To add a name of personalization to an item simply enter the text you would like to appear, select the personalization type, font and color.

**Important: You MUST choose a personalization type and font or the personalization will not be added to your order.

Personalization Text:

You have three options to personalize your items:

  1. Enter a single initial
  2. Enter 3 initials -enter them exactly how you would like for them to appear. The 2nd initial will be larger unless you note other wise on the order. Please see below for monogramming guidelines.
  3. Enter a name up to 15 characters long. If the first and second names are under 15 characters you may do both. Additional names are available for an additional charge if the item can accommodate the larger name. Please call for a quote - 717.653.5721 or email us at DRitchey@hotmail.com.

Font:

We offer a variety of fonts - please see the samples on the drop down option listed next to font.

Color:

The default color (Creator's Choice) will be chosen to match the embroidery and ribbon unless otherwise selected from the drop down menu.

Monograms:

Please enter the initials for a monogram EXACTLY as you would like them to appear. Traditionally for women's monograms the last initial is placed in the center and emphasized (Example: Mary Jane Smith would be MSJ with the S larger). Often men's monograms are done first, middle and last with all the initials equal in size (Example: John Robert Smith would appear as JRS). If you would like all initials to be the same size - please specify that in the Comments section.

Monogramming Rules and Tips:

  • Letter Order: Traditionally, the last initial is positioned in the middle and is larger than the other two that are on either side of it.

  • Bride and Bridegroom: Having only the woman's initials, with her new last name initial in the middle is most traditional. Recently there has been a trend to have the bride's first name initial on the left side, the groom's first name initial on the right side and the last name initial in the center.

  • Children: In keeping with safety recommendations, if the item will be worn in public it is recommended that only the three-initial monogram be used. If it is a non-wearable item or won't be worn in public, go with their name, nickname or whatever you think the child would like.
